Canada Cares Nominations

We encourage families, workplaces, governments, and industry to support caregivers for young children, teens, adults and seniors to recognize the importance of caregiving

Who’s Your Hero?

I know that each of us can think of someone special who we could count on to help us recover from an injury or learn to live with a disability. Perhaps it was a parent, sister, aunt, teacher, nurse or neighbour. One person who made a lasting impression on us, without asking for anything in return.

Canada Cares tries in some small way to recognize the efforts and accomplishments of caregivers who have touched our lives. So once again this year, we’re hosting our Canada Cares Awards and asking Canadians to nominate a caregiver whose story needs to be told, and who deserves a special “thank you”.

You can nominate a member of your family, someone in your community, or a professional who went above and beyond the call of duty.  We’ll do our part by ensuring that one of the people nominated receives $10,000 to fund a special project to make their caregiving efforts a little easier.

For more information and nomination forms, please visit  www.canadacares.org. We look forward to hearing from you before January 31, 2018.
