Thumbs up to the firefighter who let a blind 6-year-old ‘see’ his uniform in his own Way Modelling inclusion in the best way, a firefighter warms the hearts of many. When a group of children were headed to a classic school trip to the firehall, one firefighter noticed something. There was a 6-year-old boy among the group who was blind. Allowing him to truly experience the day with his peers, the firefighter stepped aside with him and let him feel all the different parts of his uniform, explaining what they are and what their use is exactly. This simple act allowed the boy to be involved in the day in a way he could interact with, and learn alongside his peers.
