Cell phones and tablets aren’t toys

Just like your notebook computer or digital camera, your wireless phone or tablet is a complicated electronic device. Moisture, excessive vibration and impact from even short drops can permanently damage your phone and void the warranty.

Do not operate your phone in the rain, fog or other damp environment.
Do not leave your phone outside overnight.
Do not use your phone near the pool, hot tub or lake.
Do not use or place your phone anywhere that moisture of any kind (fog, rain, steam) may come in contact with it.
Do not place your phone where any weight will be placed on top of it.
Use a protective cover to help protect your new phone. Damages from moisture and impact are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty and many water damaged phones or those with damaged screens cannot be repaired economically.

Look at lefties

Children are ambidextrous until age one. And it isn’t until about 18 months that some show a preference for using one hand more than the other. By three, left or right is usually quite clear. Some studies report that genetics account for about 25% of a person’s chance to be left-handed. However, it’s been shown that a combination of a number of genes contributes to handedness, not just one. It’s often thought that lefties have a more intuitive thinking and an innate ability to think outside the box.

Pass the chocolate

Cacao polyphenols, the antioxidants found in dark chocolate, influence cognitive performance. After consumer 25 grams of either high or low polyphenol chocolate, participants completed challenging cognitive tests, requiring focus, selective attention and response inhibition. Higher accuracy rates, even during longer tasks, and improved  focus under pressure came from the high-polyphenol. Why? The antioxidants increase blood flow to the brain—improving circulation, heightening alertness and combating fatigue.
